Adams and Crum Split NSA Series Doubleheader at Electric City Speedway

Adams and Crum Split NSA Series Doubleheader at Electric City Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – GREAT FALLS, Mont. (Aug. 14, 2017) – Casey Adams and Chance Crum both visited Victory Lane last weekend during an NSA Series doubleheader at Electric City Speedway.

Adams, who entered the weekend with a slim lead in the NSA Series championship standings, kicked off the weekend by winning the first heat race from fourth on Friday. That locked him into the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No. 3 to start the main event on the inside of the second row.

He gained the two positions needed to take the lead and pull away en route to his second series victory this season. Sean MacDonell placed a season-best second with Kelly Miller, who entered the weekend trailing Adams by only 34 points in the standings, rounding out the podium. David Miller, who won the other heat race, finished fourth with Chance Crum earning the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars by maneuvering from last – 14th – to a fifth-place result.

Crum continued to move forward on Saturday during the weekend finale. He advanced a position in a heat race to lock into the feature redraw. Crum then pulled the No. 2 during the random redraw to start the main event on the outside of the front row a night after tagging the back of the field for the A Main.

Crum took advantage as he held off Adams for his first career series triumph. Trever Kirkland placed third with David Miller ending fourth for the second straight night. Kelly Miller was the Hard Charger Award winner for advancing from 11th to fifth place.

Chevy Goodhope and David Miller were the heat race winners.

The NSA Series will be off for the remainder of the month before returning to Electric City Speedway for the 23rd annual Mountain Round Up Sept. 1-3.
